30x30: day 16. sensual

Today is Day 16 of the Our Lost Jungle Thirty-By-Thirty Challenge, a challenge designed to help writers and artists foster the habit of engaging in creativity regularly. Whether you are an artist, musician, writer, or other creative type, this challenge is for you.

Each day in June will feature a prompt to help inspire you. Take on the prompt, or follow your own creative path! Please feel free to share your work here, post links to your work on your own blog or website, or just follow along (and share your progress)!

day 16. sensual

Today, create something sensual. For many, this word instantly calls to mind the idea of "sex appeal" ... but that's not all it can be. Sensual could indicate anything sense-based, and today, for you, it can. And, of course, something can be sexy without being about sex ... language is, itself, sensual, especially when you play with words that roll off the tongue like a kiss. Play today with spices, sounds, and all your senses to create a sensual piece, whether in words or art or something sensual for the pallet.

Inspirational Quote: "Carnal apple, Woman filled, burning moon, / dark smell of seaweed, crush of mud and light, / what secret knowledge is clasped between your pillars?" ~Pablo Neruda

  1. Ah, the sensual. I have one small Haiga for this prompt. I'm also working on the last Part (Chapter) of my sci-fi novella) this afternoon. Happy writing, Khara.
