30x30: day 3. red

Today is Day 3 of the Our Lost Jungle Thirty-By-Thirty Challenge, a challenge designed to help writers and artists foster the habit of engaging in creativity regularly. Whether you are an artist, musician, writer, or other creative type, this challenge is for you.

Each day in June will feature a prompt to help inspire you. Take on the prompt, or follow your own creative path! Please feel free to share your work here, post links to your work on your own blog or website, or just follow along (and share your progress)!

day 3. red

Today’s prompt is “red.” Red is a color associated with passion, anger, pride, and more. Red is a popular color in the sports world; according to many sports studies, teams wearing red are more likely to win. Red foods include tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, apples, and pomegranates. A red door on a home suggests welcome. Write, cook, paint, or sing (or something else entirely) with red!

Inspirational Quote: “Designers want me to dress like Spring, in billowing things. I don’t feel like Spring. I feel like a warm red Autumn.” ~Marilyn Monroe

  1. Third written. Has nothing to do with red, [although that's one of my fixations in writing!]but is a poem :-D It's even posted, although to a closed Facebook group.

Knowing you will appear in my inbox each day, helps me stay on task with this, Khara. Thank you.

  3. All right. Call it character development. Here's a scene from my *vampire* novel. Yep. I can be "that girl" too.

  10. I did a little short story today - but when I tried to post from work I could not do it. Now, from the home computer, I seem to be allowed. LOL

  11. Thanks, all, for your comments and shares! I'm making the rounds now to comment on your work. Margo, what a wonderful thing to hear (or, read); thank you! Carol, ditto that to you; you have no idea how encouraging that is. Luke, glad to have you on board!

Jlynn, you can post to either place; I always check here first, as posts on FB are a little harder to keep track of, but folks are doing it both ways!

Poem and story posters: watch for my comments soon! :)
