30x30: day 26. sweet

Today is Day 26 of the Our Lost Jungle Thirty-By-Thirty Challenge, a challenge designed to help writers and artists foster the habit of engaging in creativity regularly. Whether you are an artist, musician, writer, or other creative type, this challenge is for you.

Each day in June will feature a prompt to help inspire you. Take on the prompt, or follow your own creative path! Please feel free to share your work here, post links to your work on your own blog or website, or just follow along (and share your progress)!

day 26. sweet

Today’s challenge is to create something sweet. Sweet and simple. In today’s society, “sweet” means more than just sugary or pleasant. Sweet can mean “cool” or “awesome.” Sweet can be a bad thing, as in a person who’s personality is “too sweet to handle.” I have friends and relatives who use “sweet” as synonymous with “simple” or “stupid,” and there is nothing worse than saying something and hearing that dismissive drawl, “Hmm … isn’t that sweet?” Play with the meaning of sweet as you write, draw, sing, bake, or otherwise create something new today!

Inspirational Quote: “If love is sweet as a flower, then my mother is that sweet flower of love.” ~Stevie Wonder
